Polymer materials machining

CNC machining of plastics in Kazakhstan. We manufacture parts from caprolon (cast nylon PA6), PTFE, textolite, POM, PE, PVC, and other engineering plastics. We turn bushings, rollers, gears, guides, gaskets, and complex parts to drawings. We work with rod stock and sheet — one-off and batch production.

What we do

  • CNC turning and milling of plastics
  • Caprolon, PTFE, textolite, POM
  • Bushings, rollers, gears, guides
  • Production to customer drawings
  • Rod and sheet stock
  • One-off and batch production

Equipment used

  • CNC lathes and milling machines
  • Caprolon and engineering plastic stock
  • Measurement and inspection tools

Materials and properties

Caprolon (cast polyamide PA6) — an antifriction material for plain bearings, wear-resistant, handles loads up to 30 MPa. PTFE — chemically inert, with a service temperature range from -200 to +260°C. POM (acetal) — high stiffness and dimensional stability. Textolite and glass-fiber textolite — electrical insulation materials for gaskets and bushings. PE, PVC, acrylic, PET — structural plastics for general engineering tasks.

Machining technology

On CNC machines we use sharp carbide tooling with large rake angles for clean cuts. We use higher spindle speeds and lower feed rates — this prevents melting and burr formation. For filled plastics (glass-filled polyamide) we use special inserts — ordinary tooling dulls quickly because of the abrasive filler. Cooling is by air or coolant depending on the material.

Typical parts

Caprolon plain bushings and bearings — for construction equipment, agricultural machinery, conveyors (replacing bronze bearings: cheaper, quieter, no lubrication required). Rollers and pulleys. Gears (silent, antifriction). Guides and templates for metalworking machines. PTFE gaskets and flanges for aggressive media. Gear racks. Pump impellers. Insulating textolite parts for electrical equipment.

Who orders plastic machining

Machine-building enterprises (replacing worn metal assemblies with polymer parts — reducing noise, weight, and lubrication costs), mining (parts for crushers and conveyors), food industry (POM guides — compliant with food-contact requirements), chemical industry (PTFE parts for aggressive media), agricultural and construction machinery, repair shops.

Frequently asked questions

Which plastics do you machine?+

Caprolon (cast and extruded polyamide PA6), PTFE, textolite, glass-fiber textolite, POM (acetal), PE, PVC, acrylic, PET. We select the material based on service conditions — load, temperature, chemical environment.

How does plastic machining differ from metal machining?+

Plastic uses different cutting parameters, is prone to melting under heat, and requires sharp tooling and abundant cooling. We have dedicated tooling and proven programs for each material — this delivers a clean edge and accurate dimensions.

What machining accuracy can you achieve on plastics?+

Linear dimensions — to ±0.05 mm, diameters — to H8/h8. For plastics, accuracy is limited by thermal expansion of the material, so for tight tolerances we confirm the part's service conditions (expected temperature, load).

Do you supply the stock yourselves?+

Yes. We keep caprolon stock (rods Ø30-250 mm, plates), PTFE, textolite, and POM in inventory. If your size isn't in stock, we will order from trusted suppliers (Russia, China) and machine immediately.

What is the minimum batch?+

From a single part. We frequently make one-off bushings for repairing bearing assemblies, rollers, guides, and gears. Serial orders (50+ pcs) are quoted at reduced unit price.

What plastic parts do you typically make?+

Caprolon plain bushings and bearings, rollers, pulleys, gears, guide rails, gaskets, PTFE flanges for aggressive media, gear racks, conveyor guides, antifriction wear pads.
